Welcome to Atlantic School Food Service’s website. We currently serve meals to approximately 1,500 students. Our Mission is to provide the best quality food with great service to the students and faculty that we serve.
The District participates in the National School Lunch Program (NSLP) and receives USDA Commodities. All schools are on a computerized lunch account system. Grades K-3 utilize a scanner card system. In grades 4-12, the students must enter their seven (7) digit ID number.
Breakfast and lunch are planned to offer nutritious meals, which average less than 30% of calories from fat if all items from the food groups are eaten. The serving sizes vary depending upon the age group. We encourage the students to eat a healthy variety of the foods offered. For a meal to be considered a reimbursable meal, the student must have at least 3 of the 5 items offered.
The Atlantic Community School District will prepare all learners to be creative, innovative and productive citizens by providing diverse opportunities to learn and apply relevant skills and knowledge in a positive, disciplined and challenging environment.
