Welcome to Atlantic Middle School, a 6-8^th grade community with 330 middle level learners. The Atlantic Middle School strives to meet the individual, social,and academic needs of its 

young adolescents. The school staff works, as a team, to help students understand and adapt to their changing physical and emotional needs. The staff works to not only help students with the mastery of Core academic skills but also to discover their talents and interests areas. Exploratory classes such as Art, Family and Consumer Science, Health, Technology, Financial Literacy, Careers, Chorus and Band aid this self-discovery. Our middle school students also have an opportunity to participate in extra-curricular activities such as Football, Volleyball, Cross Country, Basketball, Wrestling, Track and Field, Band, Chorus, Yearbook, Talented and Gifted programs, as well as after school activities. Our caring and devoted staff provides a developmentally appropriate curriculum, which empowers students and puts their needs first.

6. Students learn in different ways. The curriculum and instructional practices should incorporate a variety of learning activities to support their different learning styles.
