As for me I have grown up with sports being a big part of my life which helped inspire me to become the P.E teacher I am today. I also enjoy going to movies and traveling to different areas during my summer breaks. With that I'm looking forward to starting my 2nd year here in Atlantic.
This is my 6th year here in Atlantic! I am so excited to be teaching 1st grade in the Atlantic Community School system. I absolutely love helping my students strive to be life long learners. My husband, Kevin and I have three daughters Payton (22), Karsyn (18), and Ava (14). We live in Griswold, Iowa, where my husband farms with his family. I enjoy attending sporting events and spending time with friends and family! I'm looking forward to another amazing year!!!

I also have 5th grader enrolled in the district. I am pasionate about education, and a committed lifelong learner. I love my job and the opportunity to support our educators and students in the exploration of technology tools that engage, challenge and improve academic achievement.
This is my eighth year teaching Preschool in ACSD. I graduated from the University of Northern Iowa with a BA's in both Elementary and Early Childhood Education and minors in Special Education and Literacy. I completed my Master's in Special Education at the University of Nebraska - Omaha.
I have worked in the Atlantic Community School District for 5 years, as a Para-Educator, in various capacities. Currently, I am assisting high school students in a new program called Student Support Services. This program allows students to sign out from a study hall for help with homework, organizational skills, and to stay current on their grades.
Goals of the program are to help students succeed and become learners, reduce D and F lists, reduce the at-risk students and drop out rate, connect with students, and establish relationships.
Please feel free to contact me if you feel your student could benefit from this program.
